Seriously, it makes me happy, giddy-happy, to have made this. I feel calm and slightly *twitch* less stressed. But sneaky-bad, too, because I have so much else to do. I feel like I’m doing something illicit, lying about what I’m doing, putting off responsibilities, manically sewing (to Doctor Who) in my lair. . .

Anyway, happiness and stolen time, here’s another Pointy Kitty. I can’t seem to get enough of them. It’s for the Toy Society, because I can’t get enough of that, either. It will be my third toy drop. I’m super excited about that. Way more than I am about my homework. . . more art, less studying. That is what I say. Count the days.

At least I had a present of a bead class at Legendary Beads, so I’ve gotten to make something recently. *Le sigh* ^_^ Das Leben der Studentin ist so schwierig. After I graduate I’ll have more time for fun things.

I love my adorable little panda bracelet! The pandas are glass and the orangey-red bits were labeled ‘seeds from Peru’.

And now back to my regularly scheduled studying.

Then I decided I needed a cupcake, but that I’m too dumb to make my own pattern, so I found this one.

I like the look on its face; it’s. . . interesting. Anyway, I can’t really think of anything to say about them, they were relatively straightfoward to make and. . . I don’t know, look I made stuff! So I put pictures here! That’s all I know.

Soon, school will start again, darkness and sadness will fall over the land of unmade toys.

I starting making this on Christmas on holiday in London (a few hours before the Doctor Who Christmas special). It took about three days to make by hand (whilst doing fun other things, of course), backwards from the way I should have made it. I sewed the rectangle all together save for one side on the top and then sewed the panels on. That was dumb. And all by hand. But it was a nice relaxing thing to do. Now I know how to make the next one, first sew on panels, then sew up the sides and place the turning space on the bottom, not on the top. Still, fun. It travelled around with me for two days around London, while I tried to find a nice place to leave it. New Year’s Eve, I finally found a nice place in Regent’s Park.

My second toy society toy drop. It was so nice to set it free, I hope whoever finds it likes it, even though it’s a little silly.

11 days into November (11.11.11!!! Happy Elf Day!) and I have not made 11 things. Which is not the goal, the goal is to work on art everyday, but I haven’t done that either. Stupid studying. But, did manage to make the lantern for the German Club’s Laternenfest party last night. It is a susuwatari, from Spirited Away and another movie I haven’t seen yet. It’s name is Schmee.

Maybe this weekend I will make some felt mitochondria and chloroplasts. That counts as studying, right? No, I’ve got to make prizes for the IEW Germanic Trivia thing next week. That will be fun, anyway. Oh, and I should actually study for my biology exam, even though I’ve happily switched to pass/fail.

Slightly mutant-y birthday turtle for my mom. Fun with shreddy fake velvet and forgetting my sewing machine pedal when I left for the weekend and hand sewing everything. And not really thinking the head attachment through. But still, it looks like a turtle and it’s cuddly soft and a little shiny.

As usual, studying has been getting in the way of making stuff.

Yesterday, I finished the ZombiKatze (finished version here. does it need whiskers? will I ever really finish it?) and took my stupid Logic test. Today I made my mom a little ‘whale pocket’ (pattern) for her birthday. I don’t think she’ll see it on here, hmm…

So happy about Art Everyday Month, since once again school is interfering with NaNoWriMo. At least, I don’t feel *as* bad when I neglect my studies to make stuff. As I’m doing now!

So… Day 1, Zombie Kitty. I think it needs some more zombification, maybe tonight. Otherwise today’s art might be limited to the Venn diagrams on my Logic test tonight.

And I have no idea what else to say, no real idea why I’ve created this ‘blog’ (I still loathe the word). So… I’ll go do my homework and think of something else to ramble about later.
